There's a supplement called NAC or N-Acetyl Cysteine that's proven to work for bipolar depression and mild antimanoc properties. There's many double blind placebo controlled studies for this supplement, however it only really works in combo with meds. I would try and get on Medicare or some form of government assisted insurance. There's really no other supplements that are proven to work for bipolar.
