Under 3 months it'd be acute PTSD. Acute isn't permanent, of course. Chronic PTSD can last a lifetime and it sounds like that's what you're dealing with. Personally, I have delayed onset/chronic PTSD and for me it is very much lifelong. There are treatments to lessen the symptoms (and some people even get 'cured'). Here in the US, as far as I know, there's also arguments over whether it is indeed permanent. I'm not sure how to prove it's permanence other than showing physical copies of the treatment you recieved and getting a current psych eval to establish it is still very much present in your life.
