Try Helping Others:
Doing something nice for another person is an excellent way to shift focus away from you and your negative thoughts. Volunteering at your local soup kitchen or donating to the Salvation Army will take your mind off of things and leave you feeling better. It will also remind you that no matter how bad things are, there are many people in worse situations.
