Well I believe in supporting the home team so to speak BUT it is your money and you have every right to spend that money where you want. Even I don't always shop at the place I work for.

It's not rude to shop where you like or spend your money how you see fit. I think it's rude that they would pressure you to shop where you work.

There are times I just don't have the energy to shop at the main store I work for. Too many people stop me and want to know how I'm doing, how're things at the gas station etc... When I just want to run in real quick and I'm feeling really down I don't want to play 20 questions. And I'm sure you have your reasons for not shopping where you work.
