My T is awesome. I mean, he has his flaws and shortcomings (including one major one), but when I really need him, he's there. He really validated and supported me today with something going on in my life, and it's exactly what I needed. I just wish I could have spent, like, another hour talking to him... The T relationship is amazing in some ways (the undivided attention on the client) but really sucks in others... Like, when you're hanging out with a friend...there's not generally someone waiting for their time exactly an hour later who they must go attend to, no matter what place you're in at that moment. (OK, maybe if they're on their lunch break at work, but still, not generally...)

It's like...intense closeness but also intense distance at the same time.
