hon this is normal. when he falls asleep feeding thumb the bottom of his foot lightly. it stimulates them. it is perfectly ok to do this. I had to do it with mine. a very sweet nurse told me about that when I had my daughter and it worked. it is very normal for a baby to lose a little weight the first week. now with your milk in he should start to gain it back pretty fast. just keep your eye on the jaundice. if he turns too yellow take him to the er but he really should be fine hon. hang in there. is anyone there with you? helping out?

Thanks Be!

I have relatives in throughout the day helping out.. my moms been here a fair bit, but she is starting to drive me nuts as she comes over and then spends the entire time complaining about how much work it is to come over and how tired she is from working one day a week cleaning houses...and blah blah blah...

But my other relatives are in to check on me every day. For the most part though I have been alone at night, which doesn't bother me much as I don't have any problem getting up with him, I am usually up anyways.
