My doctor thinks I'm getting all worked up over nothing, but with my medical history, there's a lot to be concerned about...

I asked that all the test results be faxed to me and my doctor, so he can't just say things like "Oh this was a little bit low, nothing to worry about" or "This was high, so you'll need to take more of this."

I wanted to be kept in the loop. Over the past 10 years my health has just declined, it's pretty apparent when I was looking at photos of myself age 11 to now 21. When compared to the normal ranges of cholesterol in my blood it was very low and the cholesterol was abnormally low. I have the test results posted on another thyroid help forum, I just didn't want to post them here. I'm trying to keep myself anonymous. It's all rather embarassing to me...

I've been trying to research on my own about low levels of cholesterol and it's association with depression, especially when it might involve my hypothyroidism. I have a very slow metabolism and probably some absorption problems. So I'm going to start taking coconut oil supplements, eat more eggs, flaxseed, Nordic Naturals fish oils, and L-Carnitine.

My doctor seriously thinks I'm a healthy 21 year old male, it's just that I'm "fat"...that's always been the case with my doctors. None of them knew I was hypothyroid until it was already 3 years after the fact. If I dont' help myself, no one will.
