Our neighbor, Marvin, who ras raised cattle all his life, continues to be a great help to my husband and me in the caring of our animals.
It was funny when he was dropping a 5-foot round of hay in our horses' pasture. When he was done he stopped in our driveway to talk to my husband.
Marvin has about 1,000 acres, that he rotates his herds of cattle around. Yesterday, when the 35 directly across the street from our house recognized the soft putt-putt to his old Ford engine, at least 20 of them came right down to the front of the fence and bayed at Marvin.
It was like they were saying, "You're dropping the food off at the wrong spot. We're across here.!" This went on until Marvin stopped visiting with husband and went about his business. It was pretty funny.
