You never know when you will meet someone you will click with, but being exhausted does seem like it would make it harder. It's difficult to give it your best when you have a long standing sleep deficit.

For the sleep issue, have you tried a fan or something else that would provide white/brown noise? Do you normally stay in bed when you wake up in the mornings or get up and start your day?
