I'm a bad example. I never plan anything.
I go to change the oil, and end up in a new car.
Never planned my future. Or anything else. I was too busy doing.
I went where the wind blew me. Always doing.
And where the Superior Power took me.

Never expected anything. Was grateful for what I had. And have.
I came out of Cuba with 3 sets of clothes, including the one I was wearing.
At age 13. Practically alone. Went to boarding school.
The worst. 9 months inside. They are forbidden by law now.

And somehow, I've not only survive, but thrive sometimes.
Ups and downs, yes. But always grateful. Even in adversity.
I have this "virtue" that I'm always smiling and laughing. Even when I hit myself. Or lose a fortune.
That can't be normal, but has worked for me.

Laugh, and the world will laugh with you. Cry, and you will cry alone.
