This student who is having difficulty noticed when the student handed the bag to me.
So, today, this student told me that he forgot to bring me the candy he had for me when in group. So, later in the day, in walks this student. He handed me a plastic zip bag (he had had his sandwich in for lunch) with one single Kit Kat inside of it. He told me he knew I liked Kit Kats (he was paying attention). He had taken this piece of candy out of his own trick or treat bag. And on his way out, he told me, "My Mom checked your candy!" I am generally speaking, not sappy at all. I told my T this today and I could barely tell him because I was crying. I cried all the way home.

Thank you for sharing this. You gave that little boy hope and in return he took something of his that he wanted you to enjoy. He certainly internalized your care towards him. Your story made my eyes water and you are proof that good people still exist.
