Good on you for going to therapy and having a therapist, MeXoXO. It's positive.

Yes, I think what happens is, people sometimes [therapist included] try to assess the persons level of discomfort, not so much by their words, but by how much they appear, physically, to be struggling, in that moment. And I think nine times out of ten, we seem to be going okay, so...It's a mistake on their behalf to assume there's nothing to worry about, that you're going okay when you know full well, you're struggling. I've been there many times, myself.

Yes, as Jennifer1967 said, I think it would be a good idea to talk to your therapist again and just tell them, 'hey, I'm really struggling'. Or something like that.
