It seems to me, if you aren't paying the mortgage, you have to do what the person who IS doing that says......or perhaps get a job and contribute to the household that way?

Rules are part of life. Might as well get used to it now, it only gets worse. Soon enough you'll be wishing it was just your mom nagging you and not the IRS and the car loan people and on and on.
