I've been watching the news and such and it is such a job to see that face.....those deadpan looks, the way he treated the comics that he hosted, the questions that he would ask children and the wonderful, wonderful way he dealt with that little elderly lady that he had on pretty often. Does anyone remember her? She was darling and he was so tender and sweet with her. I watched his last show, with Bette Midler, and he truly went out in style...just the way he treated others.....
