He was 7 years old when I rehomed him and the very last news I got from his new owners was he'd gone missing, I still wonder to this day whether he died that day or whether he lived long enough to get back home to his new family

I can't begin to imagine how that news must have felt

bless you both, hopefully he was taken in by a loving compassiomste person who thought it was a stray and rescued it. I'm not sure if the shelter will let me contact whoever adopts him. I know he's not yet been adopted but it breaks my heart not being able to go in and check on him which I totally understand. It wouldn't be fair , I don't think..
