Maybe this isn't the job for you? If you can't find/make anything redeeming about the nature of the work you are doing, then you might consider starting to looking for something else ... something that feels more right for your personality/skill set. There are probably people out there who enjoy report writing. Evidently you aren't one of them and I wouldn't be, either.
