Thanks, AS, for mentioning this guy. I don't watch Oprah or pay attention to most new books coming out so missed him.
Doh, it doesn't take brains is why Oprah gets it. It's just a shift of perception. Brains can get in the way.
It's paying attention in therapy; where you are aware of yourself, your T, and what you all are working on all at the same time? Where you're above it and can see everything? That above "person" who can see everything, isn't afraid, knows it will all work out, etc. is what he's talking about.
It's just extremely difficult to explain is all. It's not new, just the "next" wave of people saying the same thing that has been said since the 1960's, probably before that even. A different way of looking at mindfulness sort of? Instead of seeing all the minute details (rather than yourself) you look at the bigger picture (rather than yourself). Look at forest instead of tree.

Flow, if you haven't already; that's the "intelligent" version sort of. If you've read
