My first remembering of using internet for more than just email was in 2003 ehen I was doing a materials project for one of my interior decorating classes. Used it for research.

This opened my eyes to the research capability that was available so I started researching about my mom's cancer a few months later & a few other things & stumbled across this forum in 2004.

I had worked on computers since 1973 when I started my computer science & accounting majors. We got our first original IBM PC in 1979/1980 & I got the first color PC through the company I worked for after graduating.

We always had our company networks but I guess working on computers all day at work I never had a desire do sit at a computer on internet when I was home. We just used email & our daughter had an aol account but for me it was in 2003 when I realized the research value of it besides the communucation ability.
