About the only exercise I get is walking the dog. My wife & I live in a townhome & so we have no yard of our own. Consequently we have to take our dog out for walks at least a couple of times a day. And our dog likes his walks! So one or the other of us, or both, take him for fairly long walks regardless of the weather. Sun, heat, rain, snow, ice, frigid temperatures... we're out there. It does help to keep us at least modestly fit.

I don't know anything about it, but there's a tennis-like game that seems to be popular here where I live called pickle ball. It seems as though it's perhaps a less intense form of tennis. So I wondered if something such as that might be a possible tennis substitute since you mentioned you're thinking of giving up tennis?

Of course I don't know how old you are. Presumably since you're still working you're not as old as I am. I do know something about giving stuff up though. It seems as though, over the years, I've just lost interest in doing much of anything. I don't even read anymore (with the exception of posts here on PC.) I'm a home bread baker. And I spend a lot of time here on PC (probably too much.) I also do housekeeping chores. But that's about it.

Hope you begin to recover from your cold soon.
I have heard of pickleball. Where I live, no one seems to play it. It's similar to tennis in concept but uses a paddle and Whiffle-like balls. Where I live, bocce ball is more popular! Perhaps the real issue is where I live. It does not suit me because it's too expensive - if not impossible - to enjoy the things I like to do. I would be much happier in the suburbs where exercise facilities are more readily available.
