Self care. There are some people I could talk with one on one for hours without silent awkwardness. I absolutely love one on one conversations, they make my day.
Then there are people I can only communicate with if we are in a group setting, not bc I dont like them, bc I dont have anything to say and awkward silence creeps in very quickly. There are very few people I can have a genuine one on one with, and no matter how hard I try if you aren't that person I just cant have a one on one without wanting to run.
I've been known to say " please don't leave me alone with X " or ignore phone calls and texting bc I cant have a one on one with this person. I know I'm not Alone in my ways.
At one time I used to struggle and have one on one conversations with people I just couldn't. They belonged in my group settings kinda folk however tryna be nice never worked, it was always unsettling for me.
Self care - now I dont force myself into one on one conversations with people who are in my group connections. I dont feel that pressure anymore and I'm proud of myself for creating boundaries and sticking with it. Life is better when you make decisions that leave you feeling happier, calm and at peace.
