Guiness, what piggy momma wrote is absolutely true compared to being in or driving a car, and yet we all get into cars most every day without a fear in the world, despite, people text messaging while driving. They still drive recklessly. Too many people still drive when they've had too much to drink. Truly, the odds of death in a car are significantly higher than death from a plane crash. Significantly.
I don't hate the flying in airplanes, but I do hate airports, airport delays, long lines in security, customs, waiting for stupid buses to transport you from the terminal to terminal or rental car joints, the discomfort of the seats in the airplane, the inability to move around, the difficulty falling asleep sitting up on an uncomfortable chair, crying babies in airplanes, and things like that. If I had a private plane (Yeh, right!) most of these issues would disappear. I will say that I've had the luck of my husband and I being bumped up to first class a few times. That was nice! However, my husband generally falls asleep in the first few minutes and sleeps for hours, so I have no one to talk to unless I talk to strangers.
