I am sitting quietly right beside you and holding you gently. If you listen, you can hear my heart beating and you will know I am right there.

We have your blanket and your other stuff. Get a pillow, and hold on to it and think of me right beside you. I will not leave until you feel better and are safely over this hump.

Together we can do this. Two friends sitting quietly together, just reaching out and believing. Sometimes it gets darkest before the dawn, but remember the dawn always comes.
