funny story about lava lamps. a long time ago not long after h and i got married i guess my mom somehow overheard us talking about lava lamps and she mistakenly thought h liked them, so she bought him one for christmas that year. he is freaked out by them, of course, and couldn't figure out why in the world she bought him one. i never said anything to her and neither did he lol we ended up putting it in our son's room until it just quit working one day. i guess we threw it away, i don't remember now....
