I've usually got candles up all over the whole Christmas season. The lights and candles when it's dark and cold outside are a favorite part of the holiday season. I buy beeswax candles at the farmers market and burn them on Christmas Day so that the whole house smells like honey. Honey and spiced cider, because I put on a crockpot of spiced apple cider too (the non-alcoholic version), with cinnamon and oranges and cloves and cardamom.
