What you have described here about your late husband feels very familiar to me, but I guess you know that and why you posted it

So if I am schizoid, do I want to be "cured"? No. It's actually a fairly easy life as long as I do not abuse substances and/or get heavily involved with people who have more complex emotional needs and especially demands. As for the upper hierarchy at work, I struggle with that as well.
