I'm so sorry you're struggling, ennie I don't think forgiving a person means forgetting anything that he/she has done. I think one still needs to be careful and, most importantly, doesn't have have any obligation to have something to do with that person. It's your choice. Forgiving simply means to not hold a grudge against someone and move on with our life. At least that's my opinion. I'd try to see it this way, if it can help a bit. You sound like a good person.
