I start the machine and then brush my teeth and feed the pets. By the time that is finished, the coffee is ready. In the summer it is easier because my home cold brewed coffee is in the refrigerator.
I don't do it, but I do know some people who use a timer plug (either smart plug or the old fashioned sort) to start the coffee machine in the morning. My machine doesn't have a timer feature and I like to grind the beans right before making the coffee. Right now I am having fun roasting my own beans using different regions and countries
