I really need to think faster when things like that happen. But it's infrequently, and of course, never when you are expecting it. I should have shouted something at the top of my lungs; the store wasn't that big. I so wish I had known there was a police officer in the parking lot handing out a traffic ticket to someone else. As it happens, my husband has a relation on that city's police force, and she is married to a state trooper.
I need to pre-record lines like that to play at top volume on my phone or something when things like that happen.
A couple weeks ago, I had the feeling a man was following me around the grocery store. He was behind me section to section, bath, makeup. Finally, I went to feminine hygiene products, and that must have been too much for him. Didn't spot him again after hanging out there a few minutes.
