Ew, Court Knee! My cat I had many years ago use to bring live birds into the house that he'd caught. That was fun, trying to leave for work at the last minute to avoid being late but have to chase cat and flopping/flying bird around the house instead.

My stepmother "won" a mini poodle at a womens club event when I was 13 or so; all the other women who won it as a doorprize declined it so it got to my mother who was like #5 or something and she brought it home to me. Unfortunately we already had a crotchety old dachshund who thought he owned the floor and a cat. The three of them would sit under different chairs in the living room, eyeing each other and shift locations, following the sunshine coming in the window. My mother found another home for the poodle though after a couple weeks, it was just too much.
