I'm genuinely curious as to what kind of **** you had to deal with in your life to make you the way you are.
Other people might hate on me for what I'm about to say, but I honestly think that if you had a messed up childhood or had a lot of horrible things happen to you, than you might not be entirely to blame for your behavior.
Humans are animals. All animals adapt to their surroundings to survive. That is the law of the jungle after all. Survival of the fittest is really all that matters in this world. You either survive or die. You either become the master or the servant. That's how nature works.
So no, I don't fault you. If anything, I think you're normal in the "purest" sense of the word. All humans are fighting to survive and all humans use others (some more than others) to survive and get ahead in life. The only difference between you and other people is that you're self aware. You use that self awareness to your advantage.
If anything, I envy you. I wish I was as good at manipulating as you. Probably the only thing that keeps me from charming and manipulating people like you claim to do is that I am more on the socially awkward side of things. Holding a normal conversation is tiring to me. It's not that I don't understand people; because I do. It's simply because I don't have the patience to deal with people and their issues and drama.
Still though, despite the fact that I really don't feel much of anything; empathy included, I still try to be a half decent person (or at least appear to be one) so people like me. Being nice to people, from my experience, is a better tool for manipulating, than using people. If anything, talking about this reminds me of a quote from the book "48 laws of power" by Robert Greene; "Be nice to somebody so they might benefit you later".
Just my 2c no matter how controversial it might be.
