by itself all it tells you is how you answered the questions at the moment that you took the test.

if for diagnostic purposes it is used with ....... many .......other tests too. this way the examiner can look at the answers on ...........all............5 or 6 different tests, compare answers and get a better picture of what is going on with someone....

example if I on meyers briggs test mark off always for doing activities alone that one test is going to say Im introvered but if I mark always for dong things alone on MMPI version what have you then thats going to point to a possible. bipolar, depression or other problem depending upon how I answered all the questions not just that one in meyers briggs.

there is also the in person verbal questionaires and patient history like their cultural background, religion race physical health, meds that the meyers briggs does not take into consideration...

my point if doing the self online samples instead of going through professional diagnostic evals then yes its not a reliable testing. it will only tell you what and how you answered at the moment you did the test but not how you are long term in the way of actual diagnosis.
