(i worked in the kitchen) i know this is not normal but i need help. i did have past issues when i was at school with a friendship that similar things happen and the teacher was involved. is this ocd? i was on cymbalta when i was in school. and that help with the depression. but could't rember if help with the ocd but i do have an appointment with my pdoc in a few weeks so i will be asking him about medication. please help i almost cired. not sure why please help. first thing that caught my attention is that you stated you are an adult and the other person is a student.....
if you are talking about you and a minor thats called pedophile. (which may be why your boss wants you to limit contact with this other person)
if you mean this person is over 18 well work places are watching their employees and conduct in the work place since the metoo movement. many employers now have rules of conduct in what is acceptable and what isnt. most around here limit hands on contact of any kind, even a fist bump can be misinterpreted as intent to punch or what have you by others.
my suggestion if this is a minor you might want to seek friendship with those your own age or older or at the very least over 18
if this isnt a situation of an underaged person my suggestion is follow the work rules on acceptable behavior set down by your boss. so that you dont end up getting fired or otherwise disciplined for breaking the work place rules
