Doing OK though I dread that I agreed to help out with my daughter's class Christmas party today. At least the school has early dismissal at noon. The room mom said to be there at 9, but I'll be a bit late. I have to stop at the post office and mail in the paper copy of H's contract to teach at the university. They really pushed him through fast as he will be teaching there in January. We don't know the details, just that he will be teaching some sort of introductory statistics course for the Industrial Engineering Dept. Fingers crossed it looks like much better health care than they give to high school teachers, so his pay increase may actually be worth more than it is on paper.
After today, my daughter will be on Christmas break until January 8; we have not finished Christmas shopping at all, so that will be a challenge. H has to still teach tomorrow as well as pack up his classroom though we are not sure when he will officially start working at the university. The students come back to the university Jan. 22, so I'd assume he has to be there before then.
H just told me it looks like he will be teaching 2 statistics courses, an intro one and a higher level one and that one will be online. Having the online class may give him the flexibility to work from home a couple days a week. It is a long drive from our house to Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.
