I am turning 26 tomorrow!!! I am a winter solstice baby. Then after my birthday, a four day countdown to Christmas!

The one thing I look forward to every year is receiving a birthday song phone call from my grandparents. It's honestly the best part of my birthday because my grandparents are so special to me and I grin from ear to ear and just feel so special, even in my angsty/moody teens I loved hearing this birthday song from them. It's a blessing.

Tomorrow my parents and I are going to go see the new Mary Poppins and I'm very excited to see it. I requested breakfast at Pig n Pancake, Poor Man Stew for dinner, and carrot cake and ice cream for dessert. For my birthday outfit I picked out a pretty blue dress, black leggings, a leather jacket and black ankle boots. I originally picked it out as an outfit to go to the casino with a friend with, but those plans fell through. More likely than not it will be cold and rainy, but who cares, it's mah birfday and I want to look my best!

In the past, my birthday has always been a celebration of life. I have a history of
Possible trigger:
and on my birthday, I'd privately reflect back on where I've been, where I've come from, and feel a sense of pride that I made it one more year. Now, I think, I can put that history behind me, and instead of reflecting on the years and looking back, celebrate and dream about what this next year, the future, will hold. I have a LOT to look forward to, Christmas, my friends visiting, school starting, improving in my job, becoming an independent and responsible adult, becoming financially stable enough to move out and provide for my cat and future dog/other pets, and dream about my future career. I want to look back less and look forward more, that's my whole "new year, new me"

Happy birthday to me, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
