The dentist will clearly see the abscess. It's very obvious. I see him this morning at 9:30. I'm not sure what he'll do, but I sort of wish an antibiotic would be prescribed. If he considers that, I need to ask him to look into any issues with an antibiotic and my Tegretol XR (carbamazepine ER). Tegretol has several interactions, usually not dangerous, and antibiotics (at least some) are on that list. If he prescribes one, I'll call my psychiatrist, too.
