<font color="#008800"> I'm new here and can't speak with any kind of authority, but it seems to me that if this is a women only forum, and it specifically says women only, I don't understand why "what if a man reads this and gets his feelings hurt" is even an issue. Aren't the men *not supposed* to be reading this forum?

Although I do understand the sentiment about blanket statements. No one thing can be said about all men, just as no one thing can be said about all women. And it so happens I'm engaged to a wonderful man myself. This said, I have experienced the same thing as the OP. I once made the mistake of saying in a mixed-company support group (in real life, not online) that relationships were my single biggest relapse trigger, and therefore I was taking myself off the market until further notice. Big mistake, to say that in front of the men. After the session, practically every man there made it a point to say to me, "Well, if you ever change your mind about that, I'd be interested."

Grrr. The sign said, "Closed for repairs," not "Going out of business, so make your move now." Unfortunately, some men can be very predatory. They are like sharks who smell blood and attack. And the same is true of some women.</font>
