Since you're a psychotherapy trainee, I would presume you know much more about this sort of thing than I would.

Based on what you wrote, it sounds to me as though, perhaps, you are experiencing some transference?

I've never done much in the way of therapy myself. So this is not a topic I have personal experience with myself.
