Hello Lorem: I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral.
I'm sorry I don't believe I can be of much help with regard to your dream. I have read that, depending on when dreams occur during the sleep cycle, they can be more or less intense. I also recall reading, somewhere, that most people experience especially vivid dreams from time-to-time. I recall one I had way back when I was still in my teens... & I'm 70 years old now!
I enjoy learning about new findings with regard to the workings of the human brain. And one tidbit I have picked up is that much more of who we are, & what we do, is controlled by portions of the brain to which we have no conscious access than we might typically imagine. So perhaps what your dream is telling you is that despite the satisfactory state of your current marriage, you may still harbor some unresolved feelings in non-conscious areas of your brain? Of course that's just conjecture. I don't really know.
