i've remained in occasional and casual contact with my ex-T since ending over a year and a half ago and we have had a handful of casual meetups as well. plus hubby tends to pop into ex-T occasionally on the morning train ride into town for work and they often fill some of that time chatting (hubby was quite involved in my therapy and joined me for my sessions for 2.5 years and is why he knows ex-T as well). regardless of this, i most likely will not text ex-T to wish him a happy new years. the only 'holiday' i tend to send a warm wishing text to T will be his birthday. it's something i have done for years (even as a client) and for me it feels more endearing because it is his special day.
