Wow! I can hardly think of even one good thing in response to this question. My parents were very easy-going parents for the most part, but the things they really thought were important I totally agree with. In regards to those, if I had had children I would have been strict about those, as well. Some are things that kids/teens nowadays don't do, that really annoys the heck out of me.There were some things that my parents were too lax about that if I had ever had children I would have been even stricter about. And yet, I think I would have allowed any kids a certain additional freedom that many parents don't nowadays. I think that modern parents make their kids think the world is so scary. That's a horrible message and an overblown one. Not to say kids shouldn't be taught what dangers to look for and how to avoid/escape them, but to teach them to avoid things completely is terrible!

Do you ever wish your parents had pushed you harder into doing something? If so, are you willing to share what that was?
