Just wanted to note that there is a bit of confusion in this statement.
You are not asking therapists you are going to interview about "themselves". You are asking them about their professional policies, which is something they are absolutely
required to inform you about before therapy starts.
You have
the right to know what their policies are and
everything related to your work together: their methods, their work philosophy, their views on how the process should be conducted..Every question related to therapy is legitimate and they are ethically required to answer it. You wouldn't want to get any service without being fully informed about how it's done. Psychotherapy is no different. You are a consumer and you have the right to get full transparency from a provider about how they do the work.
