LOL. One of the first things I made sure my husband understood was that I had to have a chocolate bunny every year for Easter!
i
There were 5 children in my family and my stepmother got creative; we each got a basket with little things in it that we would like personally; kind of like what we might get in our Christmas stocking but we usually also got a "big" gift. I still remember the year we came downstairs and there were 5 different colored ribbons on the stair bannister, one for each of us and we had to look for that color ribbon to find a "hint" that would tell us where to look next. It was a scavenger hunt of sorts for each of our big gifts. One brother had to look for a note in the dryer I remember :-) My big gift that year was a live bunny rabbit who was behind a drape.
I would hard boil some eggs and decorate them too; we always had an egg or two in our basket? And I'd have a chocolate bunny and lots of jelly beans. There's lots of little miniature things at dollar stores; go look at what grabs your imagination at a dollar store?
