That is correct, NOS (you will be informed of the invalidity of your statement shortly no doubt, although we all know what you mean) is different to DID in that it doesn't involve amnesia.
How did you come to be diagnosed with DDNOS back then? What was going on then? (if you want to share, and its okay if you don't)

For reference we also did not refer to ourselves as "we" in childhood, but now in healing we often do. Because we are a we. We are continually developing our awareness of each other, and developing compassion and understanding for all of the various alters, and we are learning to appreciate and love them. When I talk with my therapist or post on here whenever I talk about my alters I refer to them as them. Whenever I talk about myself and my alters as a system I talk about "we". We have a core group of alters who work in daily life and are developing our ability to work and cooperate with each other. How we talk about ourselves and each other now has nothing to do with how our system was formed, and everything to do with how our system is working together to heal.

However you choose to talk about yourself and whatever parts of yourself may be there is entirely up to you.
