thats right its not like DID.

just a bit of background to help you understand what it is...

the name was thrown out.
it was given a new name.
the new name for it is OSDD
OSDD stands for Other Specified Dissociative Disorder

what that means is treatment providers have a whole new list of dissociative disorders.

you cant find this list on the internet or in books or in the movies.
you find out which of the Other Specified Dissociative Disorders you have when you get diagnosed with them.

example mine one of my OSDD (your word DDNOS) is Macropsia. its wrote on my file like this

OSDD - Macropsia (this means in the category of OSDD my disorder is called Macropsia)

its wrote like this on my file because they have to "specify" what and why they are diagnosing a person with this.

there are many new dissociative disorders listed in the OSDD list that treatment providers have.

to find out which one you have you will need to go through testing and then your treatment provider will tell you which one you have.
Thanks for this!
