Yes By All Means........ I am living proof of being a Good Parent despite an unspeakable past.

The formula that worked best for me was:

1. Giving Love & Respect before I requested it in return.
2. Equal amount of Discipline and Affection - (varies from day to day).
3. Being a Parent and not a Friend (that comes later when they are adults).
4. NEVER discipline out of anger, but rather for teaching and correcting purposes.
