I sort of have a compulsion to close jars and boxes and any other closable thing as soon as possible. It used to bother my husband in our early days together, but now he just makes fun of it. I think it might be a European (or Czech) thing, but he butters and puts jam on only the part of his bread slice he's about to take a bite of, while I butter the whole thing. What still gets him is that I tend to close jars very tightly.
