My shoulder surgery is coming up in 3 days (on Friday) and this is what I was prescribed for pain since I specified no opioids. Some kind of crazy strong NSAID that you can only take up to 5 days and only if your heart, kidney and liver are in good shape and you aren't prone to ulcers. Not a euphoric and not a controlled substance. I hope it works as well as advertised. I abused the pain meds after my previous arthroscopic surgeries, but the pain was legit.

Surgery went better than expected. Turned out only the labrum needed repair; rotator cuff can be rehabbed. Bone spurs also removed. Block kept shoulder numb all day yesterday and Sprix has been adequate today, so I am happy with my decision to avoid opioids.
