Not sure where to put this. I have tried to find the other threads on the topic but can't so time I guess to start a new one.

In my case it involves a neighbour directly across the street.

It is a nice neighbourhood. While lower-middle class the people are for the most part good people. The homes are generally well maintained - the people on the street work hard and care.

Except for the one residence. It is a ram shackle broken down eyesore. It is also we are all convinced a crack shack. The tell tell signs are there - people parking down the street and coming and going spending mere seconds at the door just long enough to make an exchange. Drunks and drugged up intoxicated people often stumble out of the house. It is not unusual to see people passed out face down out front.

The thing is, the police are aware of all this. They are by regularly yet nothing seems to be done. I never see them walk away with anything or any person in hand. I myself regularly call the police as I am sure that so do the other neighbours.

Yesterday I was witness to a large fight - involving firearms including to my horror an assault rifle. OMG. It seems several of us called 911 but the assailants with the gunpower fled the scene before the police arrival. I swear a dozen cop cars showed up and that was only out front of the house. I am sure more pulled up behind. For an hour police blocked off the street and had their own weapons drawn as though it was a stand off. In the end it seemed not a damn thing was done. They all left the scene. Heck they even jumped the battery of the victim's car for him.

It was obvious to me this was a gang thing and that the victim was being given a message regarding turf and territory.

For god's sake, why won't the police do anything?!!!!
