A person't tone or response can be more abrupt when they feel put on the spot or embarrassed, right? The statement "it's none of your business" is factual, yes? "Hateful" (original post title) meaning filled with hatred, is not an accurate portrayal of someone abruptly setting a boundary. And Ruby apologized and he accepted her apology and said they could move on from it. That sounds reasonable to me and not the action of someone filled with hatred. Helpful to look at both sides I think.
