Just so you know for informational sake...divorces can be written with provisions, etc. I was covered with health insurance through my ex husband provided he did not lose a job through fault. It can be written in there. My consideration was having MS and at that time needing expensive but covered medications which I am no longer on anyways as switching meds and the side effects were worse than the illness which has been in remission. Neither here nor there but I want it clear to anyone reading, yourself included, that don't let the fear of certain marital benefits such as health insurance coverage hold you back from taking such a step which for some may be necessary.
